Planning
your
vacation to Glacier Bay, Alaska is a very easy task! Besides bringing your
zest for an awesome Alaska adventure, we encourage our guests to simply
grab their luggage or military-sized duffle bag and pack a few essentials.
Your personal 'what to bring' list will have alot to do with the length
of your stay and the specific activities you plan on engaging in while
vacationing here. Some essential items may be furnished by the outdoor
outfitter you plan on recreating with (it's important you discuss this
issue with the outfitter). If you are a fly-fisher and plan on getting
a few flies wet, make sure you bring your favorite fly-rod and an assortment
of flies along!
Here's the basic list if vacationing for a week: 4 - 5 changes of clothes; including: a warm coat or parka, under-clothing and warm socks, comfortable hiking boots, slippers, tennis shoes, sleepware, jeans or dockers, sweatshirts and sweaters, warm nylon or leather gloves etc. Items of a personal nature: camera and plenty of film, binoculars, medications, cellular phone and phone card . This short list is, by no means, an exhaustive one. If you plan on sport fishing, for instance, it is important to discuss what items your chartered skipper suggests you bring along .
